Wedding Invitations are important in the whole wedding planning process. This is due to the fact that without the wedding invitations, the people, who the couple wants to share that important day with, would not be able to duly prepare to attend the event.

Other than the date, time and location of the wedding ceremony and the reception, it is also important to include other information relevant to those who would attend the event. If the event would require the guests to follow a certain dress code, it is essential to include that information in the wedding invitation to avoid guests showing up dressed inappropriately and feeling embarrassed because of that. If the wedding has a theme, it is also wise to include that information. There are times that the wedding invitations are designed according to the theme of the wedding. Thus, a beach wedding may have an invitation designed with images of sand, sea shells and starfishes.

Invitations should be sent out to the guests days or even months before the wedding. Ideally, the wedding invitations are sent out at least eight weeks before the wedding to allow the guests ample time to make travel arrangements or, if necessary, arrange some time off their work.
